Ferrari is one of the most recognizable car brands in the world. It has been a staple of Formula One racing since its inception and currently holds the record with 16 constructor’s titles to date. The company’s racing prowess translates into road cars that are exclusive, exciting and highly desirable.
A new Ferrari can cost nearly half a million dollars, but if you’re interested in purchasing a used car, there are plenty of options available. A recent auction saw a 1963 250 GTO sell for $70 million, but there are many other used Ferraris that are just as desirable.
The Italian automaker’s reputation for excellence and exclusivity has made it the most powerful brand in the world according to British research firm, Brand Finance. And even though it was founded as Scuderia Ferrari, the company’s road cars are symbols of prestige and power.
In 2022, the marque posted a record sales figure and its net profit hit an all-time high. Its sales increase in the year stemmed from growth in mainland China and North America. Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan sales jumped 22% in the year to 1,552 units. The Americas, meanwhile, saw an increase of 22% to 3,447 units.
Ferrari’s sales numbers were buoyed by its new offerings like the Portofino M and SF90 Stradale, as well as its revamped Daytona SP3. The newest addition to the lineup is the hybrid EV named Purosangue, which is the Prancing Horse’s first-ever SUV model. There is some concern among Ferrari fans that the SUV will detract from the brand’s racing heritage, but it will be equipped with a powerful V12 engine capable of producing 725 horsepower.
This Ferrari F8 Tributo is a subtle grand touring machine that was designed to go the distance without compromising the ride quality. It’s also a proper successor to the F12 Berlinetta and its twin-turbo V8. Interested buyers can also get the car in a limited edition Alonso 60F1 Alonso Edition, which features signatures from Ferrari’s contemporary F1 drivers.
Aside from the 250 GTO, the auction house Bonhams expects the DB4GT Zagato to become another “index linked” Ferrari model that’s worth collecting. It’s rare, beautiful and has serious historical provenance — plus it’s a relative bargain at $20 million. The car was driven by some of the most famous drivers in history, including Carroll Shelby, Phil Hill and Richie Ginther. Aside from its historic value, the DB4GT Zagato is an excellent race car. It is fast, agile and handles like a dream. This car would be the perfect Ferrari for any collector. You can buy one at the upcoming auction on November 29 in Monterey, California. The auction will be broadcast live on Facebook and will begin at 9:30 am PST. For more information, visit the official auction website here. If you’re unable to attend, you can bid online starting October 30 at the same official site. The auction will be streamed live from a mobile app as well. ferrari for sale
